Metres from the azure blue Mediterranean Sea, this land reclamation project aimed to recreate the local Maltese garrigue landscape. Using the islands native plants such as Punica granataum (pomegranate),Widnet il bahar (ears of the sea) and Ghar Ghar (Sandarac gum tree) planted into manufactured soil developed onsite to avoid the need for importing materials, this large scale and exciting project focused on transforming waste land into a useable mountain bike course.

This was the first of a number of Local Authority projects undertaken by Dean and the team on the island.
